Association of New Zealand - or CBANZ as we are becoming widely known.
Based in Tauranga, we are the only nationwide builders' organisation whose
members are all trade qualified.
If you're not trade qualified, you can't join - it's as simple as that. If

in our industry.
CBANZ was set up in 1998 to meet a growing demand by builders throughout the
country for an organisation that would recognise and promote their trade
qualifications.
From small beginnings, we have gone from strength to strength, and today we
represent a rapidly-growing membership of more than 1700, from Kaitaia to
Invercargill.
Most of all, CBANZ members benefit from their professional status which has
become widely respected throughout the industry and by the public at large.

As a Certified Builder, you are obliged to apply for a ten-year guarantee on all new homes you build.
Specially developed for CBANZ, it's called a HomeFirst Builders' Guarantee and is continually evolving to ensure clients receive the best-possible cover. This guarantee is also available, as an option, for home owners who are having alterations and/or additions done.
